Simply put. The easiest way possible. That also means the cheapest. Avoidance is the best answer but not always conceivable. Some one said a sniper rifle (Dakota prout at the very top). That is a common miss conception. Sniping is great but it is extremely hard. I think Dakota is kinda speaking out of ignorance. "Just put the cross hairs on 'em and then pull the trigger". WRONG! "Shoot 'em in the head!" WRONG!!! (unless of course this is the ONLY I MEAN ONLY way they will go down.) A head shot at 200 yards is hard enough. Then ad in wind, temp, elevation, bullet drop factor, the fact that your zombie is not stable and unpredictable.... etc. etc. Unless this person is an avid hunter and knows his/her shit then I say use something else. Shot gun is the best all around weapon.

Unlike a 'SNIPER RIFLE' (YUCK) where you only get 4 maybe 5 shots plus you have to carry around all that heavy ammo and hope that your zombie doesn't surprise you close up i say get yourself a nice automatic shotgun with illuminated sight posts and speed re-loaders in the but stock. The ammo is cheap the weapon is cheap and easy to maintain and if a zombie sneaks up just point and shoot. You dont have to be accurate. If the zombie is far away then LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

I have one of my own sniper rifle. I have a Hawa 300 win mag. with a scope. This thing will drop a bear, moose and a zack (Zombie). Dont get me wrong sniper rifles have their place, but not in the streets going door to door looking for supplies. It is in defense of your fortified position. Then the distance is known (You can mark it out and set up range indicators), you can figure out the wind and the bullet drop, and elevation are always the same also the angle of the shot is always the same. THAT is where you want and need your sniper rifles not out on the streets thinking its easy. You'll end up one of them due to running out of ammo, in the middle of a re-load or you'll just miss all the time and get frustrated. Plus you'll be a burden and an embarrassment to your 'squad'. IF YOUR SQUAD IS SURROUNDED YOU BETTER GET IN THERE AND FIGHT! Not prancing off in the distance with your ill-equipped sniper rifle wetting yourself being glad that it isn't you thats surrounded. btw who's going to get your back if YOU get surrounded. Think about that Dakota prout. Again i speak out of ignorance this Dakota prout could know their shit....but i'm guessing he/she does not.

Handguns are a great last resort. I prefer a .40 cal hollow point since it has amazing stopping power and holds more rounds than a .45 and the stopping power difference is minimal but you get another 4 or 5 shots wit a .40 cal. make sure they are hollow points. They do more damage to the brain and other body tissue. Swords make great last minute killers. I'd prefer a Katana. Last i checked Zacks aren't wearing body armor and a small katana will do the job just right plus its light.

But if and WHEN the zack attack happens a baseball bat is easiest then just use that.
