Do you ever think back to what you left behind? A house, nik-naks, animals...
When the end came, I was in the bay area. Near a hot zone. The military swarmed in, and took over. Slowly killing everyone. At this point they were taking no chances at all. Everything had to go! Man, Women, Child, Dog, Cat, Goldfish... I guess they don't smile back anymore.
I did the one thing I could... Hide. I took my Dog (Lady J) & Cat (Nipper) and hid in crawl space under my house. For almost a week we lived under the house. I hadn't planned for such a long stay. So I had to make a trip top side once to get more food for myself, and my pets. A soilder happened to spot me, and that's when I attacked my first person... ever in my life. When he came to I was gone.
Once they all left, I came out of hiding. I was, and still am actually really surprised that we were able to hide there for so long. Do you know how hard it is to contain the wild side of a dog & cat, when they can't really move around all that much? Well anyways, I began to board up the house. I made reinforcments, and set a few traps, that would keep my place safe.
Before I left, I went down to the local wal-mart & then Sam's club. I raided what I could. I was able to find a few months worth of dog & cat food. But as far as my own stomach went... Well I'd go hungry a few nights. I set up a automated food & automated water dish I had built in the kitchen, for Lady & Nipper. If they actually ate like normal, then they should be able to survive about 3 months tops.
I had to leave, and I didn't want to endanger them anymore than they already were. Maybe I should have brought them. But first I need to find a safe place!
