Woke up somewere unknown...

It's feb.23 8:31 pm and i just woke up... the last three days i have been out cold and all i remember is driving south on St. Annes just about to speed across Fermor Ave. when a blinding light flooded into the land rover from the driver's side... glass cubes floating around the cab in slow motion and the sound of crunching metal... as I hung inverted by my seat belt in the crumpled wreck my vision blurred I saw shadows and voices around me then I passesd out... I woke up on a modified school bus which is filled with a number of people.. they said I was hit by the lead semi in their convoy and my rover flipped, rolled, and skidded to a stop at least 70 feet from where I was hit... dry crusted blood flaked from my face when I touched my forehead to feel stitches from a fixed gash near my hairline... not the best stitch job but it will do for the time being... I thanked them for there help and was offered a position in their convoy to BC across the prairies but I had to pass on it and they all wished me luck in finding my friends... the convoy was camped out by the floodway bypass south of the city but packed up to do a little more supply hunting and dropped me off at my parents street... the eight vehicle convoy rolled on towards downtown as I unholdster my H&K USP and slowly walk down the street to the front of my parents home to see a light on in the living room... I knocked three times quickly and the door flew open... a guy in military clothes holding a c7 (canadian m16/m4 variant) stood pointing the rifle at me untill it registered who I was... Andrew lowered the weapon and let me into the house where four people are gathered watching a dvd... I took a seat in one of the two armchairs and melted into the familiar soft chair... a feeling not felt in so long... Andrew fills me in all about what happened after the chopper crash and how the missing four survivors died on the way to the house... the last of his words murmur and fade as I drifted off to sleep in the green recliner.
