You lose track of time when there's no point in counting the days.

It's been a while since I posted. The trip didn't go well. We lost another person. But we have to focus on the silver lining of it all. We managed to find more canned goods. And blankets. We should be set for winter. Things like this make you wonder just how far back we've fallen. Civilization is next to none anymore. Technology is basically useless now. The earth is reclaiming itself. Buildings are falling apart. The world is a ghostland. Except for the dead that walk.

It's really hard to have anything to believe in anymore. Everything we knew. Everything we relied on. Everything we loved. Maybe it's just the gloomy weather but it feels like we are stuck on all that we've lost. Everyone that has been changed. We know we will never be the same. No more warm nights by the fireplace with the one we love. No more visiting our friends for holidays. Shopping for Christmas presents. Everything is just gone.

A few of us have been considering moving to a different location. Might be easier to get around without so many walkers. Some places are less traveled. I don't know yet. We shall see.
