If you have phone books and duct tape use them. Wrap your forearms and your biceps and tape the hell out of them. The same goes for your shoulders and the back of your neck. You have to get creative but cover some of the most obvious places you would get bitten. This would be usefull if you had to go out in search of supplies. If you have some leather material or old coats you can combine with the phone books to make a more practical armor that you could throw on opossed to having to re-tape everytime. The idea is protection but don't make something you cannot run well in. You never know when you will encounter a runner or even worse a fucking pack of them! I have actually combined this idea with our standard gear where it would improve our own armor. When supplies are limited you use what you have.

You do not just tape a phone book to yourself you tear it in half so it's not as heavy. Point: take a yellow pages phone book, open it to the midway point and cut it down the middle. You now have two halves, you can even remove more pages if you think it's too thick. Pitbulls cannot even bite through it.

very good ideas Nash. Id like to add if you can get some under armor, wear that on the outside of any thing. It's really hard to get a grip on someone wearing this. Keep your hair short and don't shave. Not shaving is effective for 2 reasons: it provides a little extra protection for your face and cutting yourself shaving can make it that much easier to get infected from blood splatter.

yep. duct tape is bite proof, but if you do get bit it will still pinch and hurt like hell.
