-you need a flashlight, or nightvision gear, which slows you down and it may show you wahts around you, but it also shows others where u are.
-zeds seem to have a sixth sense when there is a survivor near, point is they don't need the light (pretty sure its smell)
- they're directional so anything your not pointed at you don't see

i stick to daytime and twilight mostly where i have the advantages of perception and agility
