I've made it into a restaurant in an area where we got power back on. supplies in restaurants are limited based on what they have in dry stock and how much is actually still left in stock between shipments. Before all this, I was a cook, at the end of the week (depending on who was delivering the food) we would be out of almost everything. IT MIGHT NOT BE WORTH YOUR TIME RAIDING RESTAURANTS! Good luck survivors.

Spot on. Surviving an apocalypse isn't just about finding guns.

Speaking or surplus stores, grab any MREs that you find as well. They don't go bad, and are about 5000 calories a pouch. They're made for soldiers marching all day with a 150 pounds of gear and armor. Good source of protein and energy.

ramen has too much sodium. i mean you can eat them like a crackhead taco (uncooked, break the noodles into 2 pieces like bread... lick one side and pour the flavor pack on it, eat like a sandwich)... but yeah. ramen are great survival food for ease, but they lack protien and are really bad for you, but they will get you by for a while.

ramen, ramen, and some more ramen.
takes little time to make(if you even feel like cooking it), takes even less time to eat, and doesn't make smoke or anything that will attract zombies.
found some steaks once, tried to use a grill. lots of smoke, attracted several zombies, all around bad situation.
worst part is, i didn't get my steaks

I'm a cook.. Or rather I was before all this happened, but clams and beans can be eaten raw but they are better for you cooked (heat unlocks extra proteins). I still cook for my necrotech team at the prison, but we already have a ton of clams and beans.

The real rule Is if it is in a can, eat it. Get Into a military surplus store and get yourself A p38 can opener; or any can opener.
