Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks
There are many people who think that Max Brooks is crazy. Zombies? That's not possible. Fiction. Horror dribble for entertaining the masses.
Then there are those of us who believe Max Brooks is a saint. He has gone through the hard work to tell us how to survive on our own in such a crisis. It allows us to not make the mistakes we would surely make if we never had any guidance.
For example: If these outbreaks happen more frequent and are accompanied by a higher body count then I must adhere to one of the rules in the guide. My hair, as you can tell from the picture, is of decent length. Once these outbreaks become common nature the hair will be gone to prevent the off chance that one of the undead latch on and grab hold.
If you want to survive like the rest of us, I highly suggest buying this book. The Zombie Survival Guide.

I agree. And I also suggest reading World War Z, also by Max Brooks. A collection of short journalistic accounts of the zombie appocolypse with amazing survival stories.
Know how to identify a Quisling or fight off ADS. No? Then read this book too.

I agree, World War Z is another book that every person must have in their arsenal. It can make the difference between life and death. If you have not read any of these books, good luck, and may whatever god your pray to have mercy on your soul.

I heard they were in the writing process. I'm excited that the script is complete. That must have been a challenging adaptation.

P.S. I would give my left zombie leg to do FX makeup on that production. Does anyone know Brad Pitt? Or anyone at Plan B?

The screenwriter, Michael Straczynski, has quite a career in television. I was never a fan of Babylon Five, but he did write some Twilight Episodes. I actually wouldn't have found it too terribly difficult to adapt, I mean most of it is written visually anyways. I would assume they would do it in a doc style, but it would be interesting for them to try to do it some other way and somehow make it more narrative in a sense. The rest comes down to everything else, director, stars, editors, etc. Let's hope they don't fuck it up. It would be even more interesting if Mel Brooks directed it lol.

it's a good book that decrys some incorrect beliefs about survival and hunting the undead. the book is a little short on actual survival tips though. make sure you supplement the zombie guide with some stronger survival guides (like the sas survival guide you can find at any good bookstore). some books on agriculture and carpentry are good investments.
