Short handled, heavy items that do not require reloading. My choice is a short pry bar. I don't have any time to learn something requiring technique, and I can't afford to carry anything long, bulky, or heavy while traveling by foot.

Hm, weapon against the undead... let me see. I would prefer anything sturdy that can withstand multiple attacks. A crowbar or shovel. Something that is capable of taking off heads and other limbs. Ooooh, I'm thinking maybe a sickle would be effective!
